Shoreview selects two new liquor providers for Community Center

The city of Shoreview has selected both Green Mill and Jimmy’s Conference & Catering to be providers of liquor at Community Center events. The current 3 year contract with the Big Ten Sports Bar is due to expire at the end of 2009 and the new agreements will begin in 2010.
It was decided to go with two providers in order to give people a choice of services for their events. Proposals were solicited from local area restaurants and they received proposals from Big Ten Sports Bar, Green Mill, and Jimmy’s Conference & Catering. Green Mill and Jimmy’s Conference & Catering were selected for their experience in catering events and a level of professionalism and service consistent with the banquet facilities at the Community Center. Drink prices will range from $4.00 to $6.75 with a 30% commission going to the city of Shoreview.
Shoreview also decided to change to a 2 year agreement instead of the 3 year agreements of the past. The two year agreement will allow more frequent evaluations of service and ensure that the quality of service is meeting the expectations of the customers.
