Mounds View Public Schools to add 10 minutes to each school day

A week and a half ago I wrote about the Mounds View Public School district’s new 2010-2011 school calendar and mentioned “earlier starting times and slightly later ending times”. These earlier start times and later ending times will add ten minutes to each school day. Each school will have classes start 5 minutes earlier and end the day 5 minutes later. Times for each school are below.

- 2009-2010:7:30am to 2:00pm
- 2010-2011: 7:25am to 2:05pm
- Irondale
- Mounds View
- Middle Schools
- 2009-2010:8:10am to 2:40pm
- 2010-2011: 8:05am to 2:45pm
- Chippewa
- Edgewood
- Highview
- Elementary Schools
- 2009-2010:8:50am to 3:20pm
- 2010-2011: 8:45am to 3:25pm
- Kindergarten

- 2010-2011: 12:35am to 3:25pm
- Bel Air
- Island Lake
- Sunnyside
- Turtle Lake
- Elementary Schools
- 2009-2010:9:30am to 4:00pm
