So long Snyders, it’s been swell

Fans of Minnesota based Snyder Drugs and the Shoreview Snyders location are disappointed because their favorite local drug store is closing. Walgreens purchased Snyders a couple weeks ago and with a new Walgreens location just down the road at 96 & Hodgson the Shoreview Mall location was sure to go.
“We’ve been customers of Snyders for as long as I remember living here — 24 years or so,” said Shoreview resident Rick Mons in a direct tweet to the Shoreview Post. “It’s sad to see a long time SV presence go away.”
A Snyders employee told me last night they found out they were being closed by an email sent to them two weeks ago. He expects the Shoreview location to be open maybe another 2 to 3 weeks at the most to sell off the rest of their inventory. He also said all closing Snyders have to be closed by the end of February.
