Man taken into custody after standoff in Shoreview

Ramsey County Deputies responded to a domestic assault call on the 43xx block of Chatsworth Monday morning around 8:00 AM. The suspect barricaded himself inside while a SWAT team and police negotiators were called in. Neighbors were evacuated before the man was taken into custody unharmed after a standoff that lasted several hours.

Theft – Medtronic, 38xx Victoria Street – between 10 a.m. ¾ and 4:30 p.m. 3/5. Wedding ring stolen from desk drawer.
Criminal Damage to Property – Shoreview Hills Apartments, 41xx Lexington Avenue – between 11:30 p.m. 3/6 and 2:30 p.m. 3/7. Someone entered unlocked garage stall, broke out vehicle’s window and ripped back seat away from back of vehicle. Nothing appeared missing. Suspect is W/M, 30s, in a white older-model “boxy-style” Chevy Blazer.
