Ramsey County Traffic Safety Initiative: DWI Saturation – May 14, 7 pm to 3 am

Deputies from the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office, along with police officers from every agency in the county, working together as part of the Ramsey County Traffic Safety Initiative, will be aggressively enforcing all traffic laws Friday, May 14, 2010 from 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM, looking for impaired drivers.
Motorists will be warned that increased enforcement effort is under way with MnDOT illuminated roadway signs and all the officers working the Hi-Viz event will wear 3M high-visibility vests identifying them as part of the Ramsey County Traffic Safety Initiative.
This is a cooperative, grant funded effort, utilizing officers from every law enforcement agency in Ramsey County. Police officers from Maplewood, Mounds View, New Brighton, North St Paul, Roseville, Saint Paul, St Anthony and White Bear Lake, the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Minnesota State Patrol, saturate a specific roadway with 20 or more squads to create a high visibility event.
