It’s now clear the wild turkey fans had little reason to worry. As roundups go, the Shoreview effort was, well, a turkey. The council hired Canada Goose Management to capture 75 wild turkeys. The contractor only caught five of the birds.

A flock of at least 75 wild turkeys that has drawn complaints from area residents seems to have dissipated for now, drawn away by other feeding and mating opportunities now that the snow has melted. A handful of others were already trapped by Cottage Grove-based Canada Goose Management, an animal control company hired by the city to help address the problem throughout this month.
